The Naga are one of the oldest people on Aithea. They have always lived on the islands of the sea, and after the Sundering, they were one of the only people left above ground on the surface. While other people had to learn and adapt to the new reality before them, the Naga took what they knew and began to grow their civilization. With cities that are built between the land and the huge mangrove trees on the water, the Naga have a thriving culture that has become a beacon for those on the sea.
Naga are large in size, though with how they hold themselves, it often doesn’t seem that way. They can be anywhere between 15 and 20 feet, with older Naga reaching past 25 feet long. Despite their length, all Naga are about 5 feet tall when holding themselves upright. Their scales an incredibly varied in color ranging from blacks and browns to greens and blues. A few have iridescent scales that change color in the sun. Some of the Naga, often the ruling class, have hoods behind their head and a few have more triangle-shaped heads.
The Naga are based on Indian culture.
