Mahiron are similar in size to the average human. They generally have red skin, though at times this pigmentation can be darker, closer to black, or lighter, closer to oranges. They generally have a dull yellow or orange glow to their eyes, usually just their eyes reflecting the existing light around them. They have long pointed ears on the side of their head, that vary between pointing up to sweeping back. The horns on the top of their heads can be as short as a few inches, or sweeping back from their foreheads to the backs of their head, and everything in between.
The Mahiron are one of the oldest people in the world. They dwell deep underground, most often near rivers and pools of magma, where they build their forge cities. Most humans found encountering the Mahiron terrifying at first. Dwelling deep underground, in fiery caves, and having red skin and horns made them seem like monsters from children’s stories. In reality, the Mahiron are generally friendly people, and more so if you would like them to create something new. They are expert craftsmen and love the chance to work their craft.
Mahiron are based on Early Arabic cultures and their appearance based on Djinn and Genie.
