Easily the smallest of the large ancestries, the Shadow Oni stand at just over 9 feet tall. Easily towering over most other people, it is not their size that makes the Shadow Oni stand out. It is the fact that despite their size, the Shadow Oni do not stand out at all. Seldom leaving the depths of their subterranean home, their cities have very little in the way of light. Most people have never had to look into their deep red eyes or see their bodies covered in dark fur ranging from purple to dark blue or see the single horn protruding from the top of their foreheads.
Shadow Oni are solitary people who generally keep to themselves. While they do interact with others, it is minimal at best and mostly at the outskirts of their territory. Those who have been to their lands tell about a rigid order structure and strict codes of honor. Most of those Shadow Oni that leave their lands are of the merchant class, among the lowest social standings of the Shadow Oni.
Shadow Oni are based on Oriental cultures such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
