Centaurs, while not directly looking like it, are large people. A blend of horse and man, their large horse's lower body is only slightly smaller than that of a normal horse. This puts their more human-looking upper half almost 4 feet higher than the head of most other people. Their horse half coloration runs the full gambit of colors that most normal horses go through while their human half runs the full gambit that most humanoids go through. Their human physical features are slightly more horse-like, with longer horse-like ears on the side of their head and hair running down from the back of their head, down their spine, to where their human torso meets their horse body.
The Centaur are a free-spirited people, preferring to roam the world rather than be tied down to any city. They will sometimes set up elaborate camps with beautiful stalls and temporary structures, but everything will be built to be taken down at a moment’s notice as needed. These camps only happen when large groups of Centaur come together, and will generally last a month at most. Centaurs are most often traders, selling goods from intricately carved and colorful carts that they pull behind them. Centaurs do not do well in caverns meaning they can only be found on the sky continents.
Centaurs are based on Romanian travelers and gypsies.
Age. Centaurs reach maturity at the age of 30 and can live for almost 300 years.
Size. Being half horse, your size is Large. You weigh between 1100 to 2000 pounds.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Cuvun. Cuvun has many similarities to Porolo, but is a little lower in its vowels and has slightly harsher consonants.
Equininity. You can be ridden by bipedal creatures as an intelligent mount, and you can’t ride mounts yourself unless they are specially made or able to accommodate you. Your movement is increased by 2.
In addition, any climb that requires hands and feet is especially difficult for you because of your hooves. When you make such a climb, your movement is halved again.
Half Man. Unlike most large-sized creatures, your arms and upper body are medium-sized, meaning you don’t use large-sized weapons. All other rules of large size still apply to you.
Hooves. Your hooves are natural weapons, which deal 1d10 bludgeoning damage.
Charge. If you move at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hit it with a melee weapon attack on the same turn, roll the weapon’s damage dice twice and add them together. Once you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
