Blacksmiths exert control on the world by shaping the hardest substance commonly used by mortals: metal. They are masters of the forge, the anvil, and the hammer, transforming raw ore into the tools of survival and conquest. They make weapons and armor, and can repair those just as easily if the need arises. To a blacksmith, metal is not a stubborn material but a canvas, waiting to be given form and purpose.
Blacksmith adventurers seek to provide superior weapons and armor for themselves and their allies. Their purpose is to be the indispensable artisan of the group, the one who ensures the party's gear is second to none. Their experience on the road lets them find more effective ways to provide better equipment, and they have learned how to craft armor and weapons significantly faster than any run-of-the-mill smithy. A warrior is only as good as their blade, and you are the one who ensures that blade is flawless.
Blacksmiths will tend towards Strength and Endurance to help them with their long hours of crafting. Some may lean into Dexterity for small details when crafting more expensive weapons and armor, while others will use Cunning to sell off their gear when finished. While some Blacksmiths might have a humble start as a Folk Hero or part of the Militia, most tend to have been Guild Artisans of some kind in their careers.
